About me
Hi, my name is Petra,
The person behind Graceful Letters Calligraphy.
In 2003, I quit my job to be a stay-at-home parent of our three children. This was a conscious decision by my partner and me. That same year, I was introduced to calligraphy through a home-based course from NTI, and this fantastic journey began.
Then, in 2013, I was introduced to the beautiful and graceful pointed pen script Spencerian, and a whole new world opened up. Spencerian script remains my absolute favorite script to this day!
Since 2015, I've had the honor of continuing to learn and grow under the guidance of my great examples, such as Master Penman Harvest Crittenden, Master Penman Michael Sull, Master Penman Rosemary Buczek, Master Penman Jake Weidmann, Master Penman Connie Chen, Tri Le, Jen Sweeney, Whitney Forbes, Heather Victoria Held, Phyllis Macaluso, Mr. Michael Ward, Yves Leterme, and Barry Morentz.
I am also proud to be a member of the International Association of Master Penman, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting (IAMPETH).
From creating a beautiful and graceful calligraphic envelope to an illuminated letter or even an entire family tree... anything is possible.
In short, I hope to keep inspire you in this world of calligraphy through my mail club 'Whispers of ink'
A few personal words
Born in 1979, I've always been creative from a young age.
I currently live in Wuustwezel, Belgium with my partner Gunther.
Together we have 6 kids, 4 boys and 2 girls.
Besides my passion for calligraphy, I also love lacemaking, diamond painting, and DISNEY!
I always look forward to getting away from it all and visit Disneyland Paris! It's a great way to stroll around and enjoy the atmosphere, the music, and most of all, the MAGIC!
